Delhi Day in Dubai
The three day festival at the Global village in Dubai was produced by the Delhi Government and was very well received by the local crowds there. Conceived, designed and implemented by Seher, the festival attempted to project Indian culture with its holistic beauty bringing together the best of Indian popular, folk, classical and contemporary traditions. On the first day we had Jasbir Jassi singing Punjabi Popular
Music, the second day featured folk dance of Gujrat Garba by
Rana Bai & Group and contemporary Kathak by
Aditi Mangaldas Dance Company. The festival closed with
a rock concert by the fusion band Indian Ocean. This festival
was very well received by the local people of Dubai.
