When
the
world
celebrated
400
years
of
the
establishment
of
the
Adi
Granth
Guru
Granth
Saheb,
the
Govt.
of
Delhi
in
collaboration
with
Seher
took
the
lead
in
these
celebrations
by
organizing
the
first
ever
Festival
of
Gurmat
Sangeet
in
Delhi.
This
festival
each
year
is
a
three
day
Kirtan
Darbar
at
the
Talkatore
Gardens
where
raagis
and
singers
from
all
over
India
and
indeed
across
the
border
fro
Pakistan
present
various
angs
(forms
and
styles)
in
which
Gurbani
is
sung
traditionally.
We
always
attempt
to
present
the
audience
with
a
variety
in
gurmat
sangeet
which
has
never
been
heard
before.
In
the
lush
surroundings
of
Talkatora
Gardens,
this
festival
is
well
attended
by
people
from
all
faiths
and
not
just
Sikhs.
Some
of
the
most
respected
poets
and
saints
like
Baba
Fareed,
Hazrat
Bulleh
Shah,
Kabir
and
Baba
Nanak
are
heard
all
in
one
single
festival
and
the
people
of
Delhi
at
large
–
cutting
across
religions,
class
and
other
divisive
forces
collect
in
huge
numbers
to
enter
the
true
meditative
spirit
of
Gurbani
Sangeet.
