Seher had organized
the release of Javed Akhtar’s book Quiver:
Poems and Ghazals/Javed Akhtar – Translated
from Urdu by David Matthews on 12th November
2001 at ITC Maurya Sheraton, New Delhi.
The poems speak of the poet's reminiscence
of his childhood, and bemoan the loss
if its innocence with the passage of time.
The guest of honour for the occasion was
Shri Gopichand Narang and Chief guest
was Shri Amitabh Bachchan. The book was
formerly released by Prof. Amartya Sen
and Sh. Amitabh Bachchan recited the translated
version of the few poems from the book.
This evening is held up as one of the
most prestigious events by the people
of Delhi.
